hey there!

i’m omar! i’m a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist currently based in new haven, ct. happy to have you here!

my life’s passion is music-making and performing. i have performed on many stages throughout my life as an actor, singer, and musician. i’ve sung in choirs, played in bands, acted for stage and screen, and written and produced songs, scores, and short films. my debut ep “alone and together” released in july of 2023.

i went to school at the hartt school in hartford, ct where i studied musical theatre and composition. the diverse education i received of pop, classical, jazz, and musical theatre repertoire allows me the chance to fill a wide variety of roles with my diverse skill set.

to name a few “hats” i like to wear: i have extensive professional experience as a singer, pianist, guitarist, and drummer in a wide variety of groups and styles; i work freelance as a sheet music engraver, specializing in piano/vocal arrangements and transcriptions; i’ve composed for podcasts, web series, and short films; i’ve been a director, a music director, and a live sound technician for the stage.
